Finding Balance: Female Hormone Health
Your hormonal system is like a symphony playing a complex piece of music. If each hormone isn't playing its part, you might feel off-key, start encountering a host of symptoms and disorders, and be at risk for disease. In this seminar Dr. Michelle Payne N.D. will discuss how to use lifestyle choices to keep hormones balanced, as well as tips for specific hormone related concerns such as PMS and Menopause. Food Sensitivites: Is what you are eating best for you?
Over the past few years, there has been increasing awareness of many diseases and complaints that can be caused, or contributed to, by the presence of food sensitivities. Delayed food reactions can occur up to several days after ingestion of the reactive food, making it difficult to link one's symptom to the food eaten several days ago. Such hidden sensitivities are often the cause of many 'chronic symptoms.' In this seminar, Dr. Michelle Payne N.D. will discuss symptoms associated with food sensitivities, how to identify your food sensitivities and what to do once you have identified them. Danielle Van Schaick, BASc, Registered Dietitian
Danielle is a private dietitian with a strong background in health, nutrition and fitness. She holds an Applied Human Nutrition Degree from the University of Guelph and successfully completed a Dietitic Internship with Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA). Registered as a Dietitian (RD), Danielle has studied the human body and is considered one of Canada's leading experts in food nutrition. She offers one-on-one nutrition counseling to individuals, families, and groups. Danielle is a Certified Fitness Trainer through the internationally recognized American Council of Exercise (ACE), and an active member of Dietitians of Canada and the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
1hr Nutrition Service
In this one-hour nutrition counseling session, we will review your current diet and give specific recommendations on how to meet your health goals. We specialize in weight loss, sports nutrition, specific diets (vegetarian, food allergies, gluten-free, ect) and various medical conditions.

Non-Member 1 hour - $59.00
Please visit the Vikes Recreation Office in the Ian Stewart Complex to pay for this service during office hours. Once payment has been recieved, Danielle will contact the client directly to set up the appointment time. Appointments are held off Campus at Danielles office - 569 Johnson St.

TRX Body Blast
This express workout is designed to get you out the door in no time, while delivering all the benefits of this effective training. TRX Hard 'Core'

Hatha Flow Yoga

Fat Burning Pilates
Calorie burning cardio and pilates based toning combine to maximize your fat burning potential. Hop onto the fast track for the most intense Pilates exercises. Get it all in one class! Starting with 20 minutes of aerobic activity, the heart gets pumping through use of the steps and athletic drill-type moves. Then transitioning to the floor with a 5 minute stretch, this class ends with 30 minutes of Pilates catered to the beginner or intermediate participant. Registration Details
Pilates - Progressive
Building on the fundamentals of Pilates, core stability, balance and flexibility will be challenged for an overall strengthening and stretching workout. A background in Pilates would be welcomed. Registration Details
Fitness Consultation - This one hour is suited for those looking for suggestions for changes to their existing fitness program or for the new exerciser looking for more information on how to get started.

4 Session Package - This program is suited for those learning or reviewing the skills and techniques in any fitness program. Your personal trainer will work with you to outline a fitness program suited to your individual needs and put this plan into action. You will learn safe and effective techniques over a few sessions to help promote the learning process.
Member: $176.25 Non-member: $220.75
6 Session Package - This package is suited for those who are challenged by making fitness a lifelong habit. It has been suggested that approximately 60% of people starting a new exercise regime will drop out after six months. Don’t let this happen to you! With the “Achieving Success” package, you will not only receive a detailed program suited to your needs, but you will also learn strategies that will help you create a permanent lifestyle change.
